Aleksandra V. Rachitskaya, MD, FASRS, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University’s Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and a member of the vitreoretinal faculty at Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute.
Dr. Rachitskaya is a vital and varied researcher. She is involved in numerous clinical trials, including studies on diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, inherited retinal diseases, and novel surgical approaches. Dr. Rachitskaya regularly publishes on her research with over 80 peer-reviewed publications, multiple invited publications, and book chapters. She has given numerous national and international presentations on her work.
She is a committee member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Retina Society, and the board member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society, and the Retina World Congress. She is the President -Elect of the Vit-Buckle Society and the President for the Ohio Ophthalmological Society.
